Virgil Kahl, CPA, CFP®
President & CEO
Investment Advisor
Virgil Kahl, CPA, CFP®, is president and owner of Spring Ridge Financial Group, LLC. Virgil joined Spring Ridge in 2002, and she quickly earned her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network®. She has been a licensed CPA since 1990. Virgil was named as one of the Barron's Top 1200 Advisors in 2024, Barron's Top 100 Independent Advisors in 2024, Barron's Top 100 Women Advisors in 2023, Forbes Top 250 Wealth Advisors in 2024, Forbes Best In State Wealth Advisors in 2024, Forbes Top Women Best-in-State Wealth Advisors in 2024, and Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors in 2024. She also holds life, annuity, accident, and health insurance agent appointments in multiple jurisdictions.
Since partnering with Commonwealth in fall 2017, Virgil has established herself as one of the firm's top five advisors in production. Prior to her affiliation with Commonwealth, she was the top-ranking advisor in production among the four broker/dealers owned by National Planning Holdings. Virgil’s practice offers various solutions for her clients, including actively managed investment portfolios, brokerage accounts, 401(k) consulting, and retirement and personal financial planning. Her practice is primarily fee-based.
Prior to joining Spring Ridge, Virgil spent eight years as the director of financial services at Bethany Children’s Home. At Bethany, her responsibilities included evaluating the investments in the Home’s endowment and pension funds, analyzing estate and trust bequests made to the Home, and overseeing the Home’s financial reporting. Virgil started her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young and Kuntz Lesher. Virgil graduated from Bloomsburg University, where she earned a BS in business administration/accounting and management.
Virgil is very involved with the local community. She serves as the Treasurer of St. Francis Home, a non-profit that provides comfort care to the terminally ill regardless of their ability to pay, and also serves on the board of directors of AAA Reading-Berks and is a member of the Berks County Power of the Purse which functions to support and improve the lives of local women and children. She provides financial support to Hannah’s Hope Ministries which helps homeless mothers with children in Reading, PA as well as the Reading Musical Foundation which provides music scholarships by audition and in response to financial need.
In addition to providing investment and retirement planning advice for individuals and small businesses, Virgil also hosts a weekly live radio show, The Money Doctor, each Tuesday at 6:00 P.M. on 830 AM WEEU. Most important, Virgil is the proud mother of a daughter and son.

Gregory Frank, CPA, CFP®

Gregory Frank, CPA, CFP®, is a financial advisor with more than 15 years of experience in the finance and accounting industry. He develops and presents comprehensive financial plans, provides in-depth analysis, and helps clients make informed decisions across all areas of their financial lives.
At Spring Ridge Financial Group, Greg is responsible for developing financial analytics, reporting, and monitoring capabilities that support effective investment and financial planning decisions. He researches investments, builds portfolios and helps guide investment strategy based on each client’s goals, risk tolerance, and long-term objectives.
Prior to joining Spring Ridge, Greg spent more than eight years at KPMG, one of the Big Four public accounting firms, where he developed and deployed data and analytics solutions for Fortune 500 companies. His work focused on helping organizations generate actionable insights, solve complex business problems, and improve decision-making through better use of data.
Greg graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. He has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 2014 and holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, along with FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations.
Outside of work, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife, Gail; stepdaughters, Adara and Marisa; and sons, Gavin and Leo. He is also passionate about fitness and sports, especially the Kansas City Chiefs and Temple Owls basketball and football

Brian Guenard, AIF
Investment Advisor
Brian Guenard brings over three decades of experience in the investment industry, including 28 years of public speaking and consulting with financial professionals. He has extensive experience working with advisors and institutions on a broad range of global investment strategies and products.
Throughout his career at a leading global asset management firm, Brian has provided insight and guidance on investment solutions including risk parity strategies, private debt, hedge funds, managed accounts, traditional equity and fixed-income mutual funds and ETFs. His depth of knowledge across both alternative and traditional investments allowed him to help advisors navigate complex markets and identify strategies aligned with client objectives.
In addition to his investment expertise, Brian has also spent many years educating advisors and families on college savings strategies, helping make financial concepts more accessible through clear and engaging presentations.
Brian graduated from The University of Richmond, where he earned a BA in political science. He has been a registered representative since 1993 and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary, along with FINRA Series 7 and 65 securities registrations. Brian has been married since 1999 to his wife, Paige, and has 4 children, Adam, Evan, Ryan and Alyssa. He enjoys spending time watching his youngest son play golf on the LaSalle College High School golf team, as well as cheering on his daughter, who is a US Gymnastics Level 8 gymnast.

Lori Brennan
Sr. Associate Advisor
Lori Brennan joined Spring Ridge in April 2014. Lori is responsible for all operational client service needs, initial prospect interviews, and office workflow. She has 33 years of experience in the financial industry, including time with Morgan Stanley as a financial assistant and complex service manager, and Vanguard Brokerage Services. Lori graduated from Albright College with a BS in applied psychology and organizational behavior, and she holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations.
For fun, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband and family, taking road trips around the country, and visiting Major League Baseball parks.

Pamela Sutliff
Sr. Associate Advisor
Pamela Sutliff has been with Spring Ridge Financial Group since 2002. After graduating with a BS in math, she gradually found herself drawn to the accounting and financial services industries, starting out as an actuarial analyst and tax preparer before joining Spring Ridge and earning her FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations. Pamela is quick to point out that she enjoys her job and the relationships she’s formed with clients over the years, and she prides herself on service, helpfulness, and accuracy.
Married for over 30 years, she and her husband, Bob, have two grown children, Sam and Claire. She loves her awesome family, dog Riley, and counts among her “likes” practicing yoga, kayaking, walking and hiking, gardening, and savoring crisp fall weather, pumpkin spice lattes, potato chips, red wine, all kinds of salads, icing without cake, and traveling. Memorable trips include Riviera Maya in Mexico, Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Phoenix, Clearwater, Block Island, and the Finger Lakes.

Robin Pysher
Sr. Associate Advisor
Robin Pysher graduated from Bloomsburg University with a BS in finance. Prior to joining Spring Ridge Financial Group, Robin worked for 10 years at J.P. Morgan in its loan capital markets, servicing credit agreements for Fortune 500 companies. As much as she loved her career, she decided to leave the workforce to stay home with her three daughters. When the opportunity arose in 2014, Robin was eager to join the Spring Ridge family. She has been a spirited member of the team ever since and prides herself on providing excellent customer service and creating a high degree of client satisfaction. Robin holds her FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations.
Robin and her husband, Jeff, live in Kennett Square with their daughters, Emily, Erin, and Lily. Most of her free time is spent with family and friends, and she also enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling.

Joseph Periandi, CPA
Associate Advisor
Tax Specialist
Joseph Periandi, CPA, joined Spring Ridge in 2018. He brings 25 years of tax accounting experience to Spring Ridge, including 11 years as a sole practitioner and 14 years as a partner with C. Malcolm Smith & Company and Kuntz Lester. Joe is a graduate of Albright College and maintains his FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 securities registrations and certified public accountant (CPA) certification. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Joe has been a treasurer for many local organizations over the years, including the Alert Berks County Crime Stoppers program and the Shillington Rotary Club, and he spent time as an adjunct instructor in tax at Albright College. His community involvement also extended to his membership in the P.I.A.A. Umpires’ Association and the American Legion Umpires Association, interscholastic groups that strive to shape the lives of students by encouraging exercise through competition while reinforcing the critical fundamentals of fairness.
Tax preparation services offered through Joseph M Periandi, CPA, are separate and unrelated to Commonwealth.

Angela Alexander
Sr. Client Relations Associate
Angela Alexander has been with Spring Ridge since 2001 and has worked in the financial services industry since 1993. Angela is an indispensable hand with much of the paperwork that keeps the company humming, including accounting, payroll processing, and financial reports. Above all, she relishes the time she spends talking with clients. Angela has her associate’s degree in accounting/management and has been a licensed notary since 1994.
When not working, Angela shares her life with her husband, Chuck; their adorable pups, Frank (a pug) and Brayden (a beagle-Boston mix); her nephews, Nathaniel and Joshua; and her niece, Emersyn. She and her husband love being near the ocean and especially enjoy going on cruises together.

Bridgid Good
Sr. Client Relations Associate
Bridgid Good is an enthusiastic member of the Spring Ridge team who brings her considerable service skills to preparing meeting reports, assisting in compliance matters, and helping our advisors with any work necessary to assist our clients. She holds a BA in political science and a JD from Temple Law.
When not at work, Bridgid finds herself the lone female in a home that’s made lively by four males: her husband, Kevin; two sons, Logan and Aidyn; and a very fluffy black-and-white cat named Oreo. She is a passionate and voracious reader of all genres and subjects, as well as an amateur knitter. She stays active through hiking, biking, traveling to new destinations, and spending time with family and friends.

Kathleen Schwartz
Client Relations Associate
Kathleen Schwartz joined Spring Ridge Financial Group in 2021. She has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry having previously worked for Merrill Lynch as a financial assistant, operations assistant, and financial advisor. Kathleen prepares meeting reports and assists advisors with day-to-day client needs. She graduated from Clarion University with a BS in communications.
Originally from the South, Kathleen is an avid University of Alabama fan. In her spare time, she enjoys watching college sports, Premier League Football, reading, and spending time with her family. She lives in Exeter with her husband.

Dawn Schmehl
Receptionist
Dawn Schmehl is the team’s official greeter and has been with Spring Ridge since 2014. No doubt you’ll notice her warm welcome the moment you enter the Spring Ridge offices. She handles scheduling for our group and offers administrative support whenever needed. On weekends, Dawn can be found in her kitchen baking and cooking for friends and family.

Michael Herman
Registered Associate
Michael Herman joined Spring Ridge in 2025. He is responsible for analyzing and reporting financial data, as well as assisting with financial plan creation and retirement projections. Prior to his full-time position, Mike was a summer intern at Spring Ridge in 2024. Mike graduated from DeSales University in 2025 with a BS in finance and holds his FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations.
Mike enjoys observing nature, lifting weights with his two brothers and his dad, watching the Eagles, playing video games, and gardening.

Tara Garcia
Sr. Client Relations Associate
Tara Garcia joined Spring Ridge in September 2024. She started in the financial industry in 2005 and has previously worked for Vanguard, Commonwealth Financial Network, and Merrill Lynch. Tara graduated from Kutztown University with a BA in political science. She holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 security registrations and is a licensed notary.
Tara and her husband, Carlos live in Royersford with their daughter, Ava and their two dogs, Muddy Paws and Maple. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and traveling.

Jose Arevalo
Data & Analytics Specialist
Jose Arevalo supports the Spring Ridge Financial Group leadership team by developing analytics and automation solutions that streamline internal processes and drive strategic insights for clients. Prior to joining Spring Ridge, Jose spent over six years at KPMG, where he specialized in helping Fortune 500 companies solve operational and strategic challenges. His experience includes overseeing analytics and automation projects across wealth management, financial services, and manufacturing. Jose earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in accounting and finance from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Outside of work, Jose enjoys time with his wife and family, browsing local farmers’ markets, and catching up on documentaries and popular TV shows.
